FEBRUARY 13, 2006
We had a blast at Pianos a week or so ago. Thanks to all the folks who came out to the show, and thanks to everyone at the club for making us feel so at home.

Jason Brody will be taking some time away from the NYC spotlight so that we can focus on finishing up everything we have been working on over the past several months. There are quite a few irons in the fire right now, and it's time to wrap things up. Your patience will be worthwhile in the end, we assure you.

Look forward to a new and improved website with sexy new images, new music that you can actually get your hands on, and another major surprise or two that will see the band becoming bigger and better than it has ever been. It's an exciting time in the world of Jason Brody, and we can't wait to finally unveil all of these things for you.

In the meantime, please browse the rest of the website and visit our home at myspace.com, where you can hear a couple of newly recorded tracks, leave comments/messages for the band, and, of course, become a friend.

If you would like to be a part of the Jason Brody street team to spread the word about the band and promote shows in or near your area, please visit the contact page and send us an email.

FEBRUARY 1, 2006
Jason is embarrassed at how long it's been since we've posted any news here. This is in part because we are gearing up to launch a new version of the website. No hard feelings, we hope. The band is alive and more kicking than it ever was.

Our first show of the New Year (at the Living Room last month) was brief but lots of fun, and we thank you all for coming out and hanging with us. We owe you some more songs, though, and definitely some rock. So...

The next show:

Pianos
158 Ludlow St.
(b/w Stanton & Rivington)
NYC
THIS FRIDAY, February 3
$8
(also playing: Words in Snow, Phoenix & the Shadow, Modernage)

It is official that we've decided to expand the EP/record we've been working on. We're wrapping up the additional recordings this month, which means you're going to have some new music in hand soon. Patience.

In the meantime, people seem to love "Siren Song" and "Broken," two tracks from the upcoming JB release that we've previewed on our page at myspace.com. If you haven't checked them out already, what are you waiting for?

If you're trying to join the email list and aren't sure if you've been added or are having trouble, please email maillist (at) jasonbrody (dot) com.

Stay tuned for lots of exciting news in the coming months.

DECEMBER 15, 2005
A huge thank-you to all those who came out to see us at Sin-e last week is in order. We had an amazing time, and we hope you all did, too. We completely ran out of our gift copies of the first JB record, To the Quick, and we take that as a good sign. Hope you're all enjoying it and gearing up for some more music, which will come in 2006. Double thanks go out to those who partied with us after the show and stuck it out for the superbly drunken long haul.

The next Jason Brody show will be at:

The Living Room
154 Ludlow St.
(b/w Stanton and Rivington)
NYC
Friday, January 13, 7:00pm SHARP!
FREE (1 drink minimum)

We hope to include a special guest at this show, and we're pretty excited about that.

The response to "Siren Song" and "Broken," two tracks from the upcoming EP that we've previewed on our page at myspace.com, has been extraordinary. If you haven't checked them out already, what are you waiting for?

If you're trying to join the email list and aren't sure if you've been added or are having trouble, please email maillist (at) jasonbrody (dot) com.

Happy holidays, everyone. We'll see you again in January.

Yes, it's true, Jason Brody is ready to rock again this month. We’ve had a lovely time doing the mellow shows upstairs at Pianos lately, and want to thank those of you who’ve made it out. Admission to this show gets you a holiday gift copy of the first Jason Brody record, To The Quick. we’re not playing in NYC again until after the new year, so consider this our early Xmas gift to y’all, in thanks for all your love and support.

In other news, we’ve decided to debut two tracks from the new Jason Brody EP, Pills & Candy, exclusively on www.myspace.com. While they will sound much better coming out of your stereo speakers, off a real cd, we figure it’s high time you got a taste of what’s to come. Go have a listen. And if you’re not already one of our friends, please take care of that as well. We’re in the process of working out the details of the EP release, now to occur in early ‘06.

More changes to jasonbrody.com are afoot, so be patient for more updates. They are coming soon, along with much more.

If you're trying to join the email list and aren't sure if you've been added or are having trouble, please email maillist (at) jasonbrody (dot) com.

SEPTEMBER 1, 2005

For those of you who still don't own a copy of the first Jason Brody record, To the Quick, now might be an ideal time to purchase one. For the month of September, in conjunction with CDBaby.com, all profits from sales of To the Quick will go directly to the American Red Cross to help in the Katrina disaster relief effort. So go ahead and kill a couple birds with a single stone--support a crucial cause, and reward your charitable heart with some great music. To purchase a copy of the debut, visit the MUSIC page, or just click HERE.

AUGUST 1, 2005
So much to tell. First off, we'll be performing on August 4 as part of the Gift of Noise benefit for the Kia Nowotne cancer fund. This will take place at the Shanghai Rock Hotel @ 20 W. 39th St. This is one show that's beyond worth coming out for, wherever you may be. Click on the flyer below for more info, tickets, etc.

I will also be performing all by my lonesome at the World Cafe Live in Philly the following week. It's been a while since the last solo show, so this should be fun for the whole family--if you and yourn like the sad bastard music. Do come see me here:

World Cafe Live (Upstairs)
3025 Walnut St.
Philadelphia, PA 19104
(215) 222-1400
Wednesday, August 10, 8:30PM
FREE

The new EP is mixed! It won't be long before new sounds are coming out of those speakers of yours, and we couldn't be more excited.

Things finally cool down for a bit after the World Cafe show. August should find us mastering the new EP for public consumption, and my hopefully beginning an intense period of finishing up some more new songs. We'll also be rehearsing like mad--some surprises are afoot, I tell you. We'll see you all again in September.

Visit the JOURNAL page for more in-depth ramblings from the world of Jason Brody. Also visit us at www.myspace.com/jasonbrody. Let's be friends.

Lots more coming soon. For archived news, click HERE. In the meantime, spread the Jason Brody gospel.

We love you all, and hope to see you very soon (like on August 4).
